Maurice Dawson, 49, Snow Hill, died at Lenoir UNC Health Care on Saturday, December 24, 2022.  A  viewing will be held on Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A wake will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the  S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. William Hagans will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Dawson, Snow Hill, NC, special aunt Lorna Yvonne Dawson, Snow Hill, NC, father, Cleveland Chamberlain (Joyce) Hookerton, NC, grandmother Mildred Chamberlain, Raleigh, NC, sisters, Brandy Chamberlain, Hookerton, NC, Tracey Chamberlain, Hookerton, NC, and Stacy Chamberlain, Hookerton, NC. A host of other relatives and friends.
