Matthew Jones, 88, Hookerton, transitioned, Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the residence. Funeral  service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 3:30 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Faith Hope Memorial Gardens in Hookerton.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Parks, brothers, Wesley Jones, Willie David Jones, and sister, Mamie Swinson.
