Edward Earl Hardy , 60, Goldsboro, transitioned, Tuesday, April 11, 2023  in Newport News, VA.  There will be a wake on Friday, April 21,2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the S. Connor Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Leventon Chapel OFWB Church in Stantonsburg. Bishop Arinzor Blue will be officiating. Interment will be in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 12:00 Noon.

He is survived by: his father, Melvin Hardy, Sr., of Goldsboro,NC, longtime companion, Melissa Murphy; five children,
Erica Eley, Dominique Eley, Maurice Raymond, AnthonyRaymond, Jr.,and Michael Murphy.one sister, Felisia Hardy of Newark, NJ; three brothers, Melvin Hardy, Jr., of Newark, NJ, Jessie Hardy, and Jerome Hardy,both of Willingboro, NJ;
 and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
